Letterpress is probably one of the first printing methods that humankind has discovered. A painted protruding element on a flat board easily leaves an imprint on the paper pressed against it. This principle was the basis of the first typographical processes. Evolving from the time of Johann Gutenberg, the letterpress reached its peak by the end of the twentieth century. The emergence and improvement of new technologies, such as flexography or digital printing, significantly reduced to our time the share of products falling on high printing. And yet, a large number of labels and packaging are still being produced on letterpress machines.
